Eddie Tangel is a musician, producer, and aspiring sound engineer from Peoria, IL. He started his music career as an acoustic musician, playing covers at local coffee shops and small businesses, eventually graduating to writing and performing original works. Eddie’s original music has a unique sound, with inspiration from Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Briston Maroney, and more. Currently, Eddie is working on producing his own music, taking his original sound and combining it with a modern beat to give it more of an aligning sound with artists like Coldplay and Goth Babe.

As a kid, Eddie was introduced to piano lessons at a young age. Shortly after discovering the sounds of the piano, he asked his parents if he could start learning guitar. Unfortunately, his parents told him that he must learn the piano for a certain amount of time until they would get him his first guitar; however, Eddie did not realize how valuable the piano and learning music theory would be to him in the future. In 8th grade (after 3 years of piano lessons and theory lessons), Eddie’s parents gifted him his very first guitar, a dreadnought acoustic guitar by Takamine.

Eddie took to guitar like no other, practicing twice a day or until his finger tips bled from the steel strings. He did seek out lessons on guitar; however, he went through 4 different instructors before he finally took on the challenge alone. When high school came around, Eddie really started to hone in on his songwriting and music knowledge, and by senior year, Eddie had started playing out at local businesses and busking on vacations. The first time he was recognized for his craft, it was the end of senior year at the talent show. Eddie performed his very first fully original song “Color The World” (not yet released). 

In his college years, Eddie kept writing and performing at local bars, coffee shops, and any other business that was in need of some live entertainment. He kept with songwriting and mostly kept them to himself until 2021, when Eddie reconnected with his old friend and audio engineer, Connor Billard (connorbillardaudio.com). With Connor, Eddie released 3 originals, available anywhere you stream your music! 

Since then, Eddie has taken on the task of audio engineering himself to produce his own music on his own time. In the summer of 2024, Eddie decided to take a hiatus from playing out live to focus on audio engineering, as well as reconstruct his live sets. Since the start of his audio engineering career, Eddie has been releasing covers on SoundCloud, fully produced and mixed by him. You can find and listen those covers directly on this website! There are also links to his SoundCloud, so you can go support, give him a follow, and share his songs with friends and family! ZsxAs far as original music, Eddie has plans to release a single, fully mixed and produced by himself, in early 2025!

Since heading down the path of sound engineering/production, he has also started to work with independent artists, such as newer instrumental artist/beat maker strainwave. Through him, strainwave has released one single “Funki” (available wherever you stream your music), and is on track to release their first EP in early 2025.
